A Case in First AML is generally made up of details about Entities and Individuals. These are represented as list of entities and individuals associated with the case itself available as part of the caseDetails and caseSearch queries.
To determine the relationships between individuals and entities within the case you need to retrieve the entityStructure which provides the list of relationships between individuals and entities, as well as the relationships between one entity and another.
When calculating total ownership of a root entity held by an individual, their relationships across all shareholding entities, including any sub-entities, is evaluated. This arrives at a total % ownership, to understand if it meets the thresholds for requiring the shareholder to be verified under relevant AML regulations.
