Individual Document Definitions

Indian passports

Passports issued in India have their own definitions for the PASSPORT and CERTIFIED_PASSPORT document types. You can find them in full in the Document Definitions.

Supplying a passport for an individual whose document country is IN requires three fields:

  • number: the passport number, either one letter followed by seven digits, or two letters followed by six digits.
  • file-number: the file number printed on the passport, 12 to 15 alphanumeric characters.
  • display-name: the name as it appears on the passport.

Certified passports require certification-date in addition, as they do for every other country.

Driver licence validation

The definitions for Australian and New Zealand driver licences have also been corrected, for both DRIVERS_LICENCE and CERTIFIED_DRIVERS_LICENCE.

  • Australian driver licences require document_number.
  • New Zealand driver licence number takes two letters followed by exactly six digits.
  • New Zealand driver licence version takes exactly three digits and cannot be 000.
